🏖️ A Beach Made for Summer

Belmar’s wide, clean beaches are the heart of the experience. Sunbathers stretch out along the shoreline, surfers paddle into steady breaks, and families enjoy some of the most colorful beach playgrounds in New Jersey, spaced every few blocks.

Several stretches of the beach are set aside for boogie boarding, kayaking, and surfing, and the popular 3rd Avenue Surf Camp gives kids and beginners a fun, confidence‑building way to learn the basics. Volleyball poles are also set up on select beaches for those who enjoy a little friendly competition on the sand.

Boogie boarding is permitted at 7th, 14th, and 20th Avenues, while surfboards are allowed at 17th and 18th Avenues.

Belmar’s commitment to clean, safe, and welcoming beaches has earned it top honors — including #1 Beach in Central Jersey and #6 in New Jersey in the Top Ten Beaches Competition.

🌙 Nightlife & After‑Dark Fun

When the sun goes down, Belmar’s social scene lights up. The town draws a youthful crowd that spends the day on the sand and the night enjoying its legendary nightlife.

Two of the Shore’s most iconic hotspots are right here:

  • D’Jais — a Belmar institution known for music, dancing, and summer‑night energy

  • Bar Anticipation (Lake Como) — one of the largest and most popular nightlife venues at the Shore

Warm summer nights bring locals, visitors, and seasonal regulars together for unforgettable evenings.

Marinas, Fishing & Water Adventures

Belmar’s marinas are a hub for fishermen, boaters, and anyone who loves being on the water. Charter boats head out daily for deep‑sea fishing, while kayakers and paddleboarders explore calmer waters nearby.

The town also hosts the long‑running Belmar Pro, one of the East Coast’s premier surfing competitions, drawing amateur and professional surfers from around the world.

🚶 Boardwalk Strolls & Ocean Views

Belmar’s boardwalk is perfect for a morning jog, an afternoon walk, or a sunset stroll. With sweeping ocean views and plenty of places to relax, it’s a favorite spot for people‑watching and soaking in the Shore’s natural beauty.
