Badge Prices

  • Seasonal:

    • $37 through May 31

    • $42 starting June 1

  • Weekly: $18

  • Daily: $10

  • Children: Free for ages 11 and under

  • Reciprocal: Tags are fully reciprocal with Stone Harbor

 

Season Dates

Beach tags are required May 23 – September 7, 2026 for anyone 12 and older.

 

Where & How to Buy

Preseason (Starting March 1)

  • Purchase at the Avalon Borough Hall – Tax Collector’s Office

  • Payment: Cash, checks, and credit cards

  • Mail Orders: Cash or check accepted through May 9

    • You’ll receive a receipt by mail, which you exchange for your physical 2026 tag at the Beach Tag Booth.

In‑Season (Starting June 1)

  • Seasonal tags increase to $42

  • Beach Tag Booth – Avalon Community Hall

    • Weekends: Opens April 4

    • Daily: Opens April 26 and remains open through summer

 

Good to Know

  • Tags are required daily during guarded hours.

  • Avalon and Stone Harbor share a reciprocal badge system, so one tag works across all Seven Mile Island beaches.

  • Children under 12 never need a tag.
